Guess where I bought this from? Alright, not difficult to know it's from Tesco - I got it from the freezer aisle and it cost £1.50. It wasn't even on offer so, for that price, I wasn't expecting much.
Really easy to prepare as it just took 12 minutes at 220°C - you can see some bits where it has been slightly over done but they didn't spoil the eating at all.
Although the pizza looked quite small it contained a decent amount of calories (808) and was relatively filling. The base was nice and crispy although pretty bland which isn't such a problem as the sauce is very nice. Nothing too complex about it, just a good sweet and smokey BBQ flavour.
The toppings were pretty standard but you could pick them out individually on the palette and they were all brought together with a decent amount of gooey mozzarella. The only thing I don't understand is why the meatballs taste of aniseed - there is no mention of anything in the ingredients that would cause this - maybe it's just me?
All in all I was impressed and it is definitely going to be on the shopping list again - especially at £1.50.
